New WAWA Gas Stations for Cape Coral & Fort Myers!

FORT MYERS – Soon an empty lot on Colonial Boulevard and Fowler Street will be turned into a massive gas station and convenience store. Wawa broke ground on its first store in Southwest Florida Tuesday. Those from the northeast, understand the hype.

This will be the first of three stores to go under construction on July 15 in the Fort Myers area, each set to open by spring of 2015. The store, which is a $6 million investment, will employ more than 40 people.

Future plans include at least 12 locations by 2017 which they hope to place 40-60 associates at each store.

Wawa first entered the Sunshine State in July 2012 and since then has opened 44 stores in Central Florida, throughout the Tampa and Orlando areas.

Wawa is known for its fresh food, coffee, surcharge-free ATMs and that’s just scratching the surface.

With shovels in hands and hard hats on heads, representatives from Wawa, local police and firefighters, local Wawa charity and business partners, and members of the community broke ground on what many hope to be a long lasting relationship in Southwest Florida.

      Hi Christopher,

      Hi Kevin,

Thank you for your comment. While we have worked with Wawa as they make their way into Southwest Florida, we are not affiliated with their hiring procedures. To apply, the best place to go would most likely be through their website.

Thank you again for your comment!
